HobbyClub
Introduction
HobbyClub was a first-year assignment for the Application Development course, were a team of four developers had to create a simple project mainly web-based. After some discussions, Stoyan (one of the members) came out with the idea of creating a website for students where arrangements and groups of friends would be managed. And thus HobbyClub was born.
Functionality
The HobbyClub website was nothing but a simple collection of XHTML documents in combination with the PHP4 scripting language. Some of the features that supports are:
- User registration for more privileges.
- User profiles for more specific personal information.
- User avatar, for a customized picture per user.
- Flexible club management: private or public clubs.
- Flexible event management: private or public events.
- Messages Board for users intercommunication.
- Online Feedback support.
- Club Rating System, giving 'stars' to famous clubs.
- Latest events, clubs and registered users on the front page.

HobbyClub is Free Software and the source code can be downloaded from hobbyclub-source.zip. This project has been developed by a group of students from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, who study Information Technology.
