New laptop on the way
That's right, I just bought a new laptop from www.sonystyle.es and it is on its way to Mallorca, where it should be already delivered next Monday 18th. The laptop I bought is a Sony Vaio VGN-SR11M, a 13.3" laptop of only 1.85Kg of weight equipped with the brand new Montevina chipset from Intel. The laptop also includes the latest technology with the IC9H Interface Bridge and the Intel X4500HD Graphics Card, which is capable of run up to 3x faster than the previous Intel graphics solutions.

At a glance, the SR11M has main features such as:
- Only 1.85Kg of weight (magnesium-made case)
- Hard disk with G-sensor for preventing data losses when crashing
- Intel P8400 processor with only 25W of maximum consume
- Front Side Bus (FSB) of 1066MHz and 3MB of L2 cache
- Intel X4500HD Graphics Card with hardware-based video decoding
- LED display with WXGA resolution
- Intel 5100AGN wireless card with 802.11n draft support
- 4800mAh battery with up to 5 hours of continuous work
- European warranty of 12 months

The truth is that, although the SR11M is a Sony Vaio laptop, it is not so expensive and you can get it from only 1299€. The SR11M is the most modest model from the SR-series, though it provides the consumer with a full-featured laptop meant for portability and elegant daily work. This time, I didn't need a powerful laptop for running games, and I actually plan to install Debian Lenny on it, which offers an easy-to-use operating system which is very optimized for programming and developing purposes.
